DevLog #24: Get Push Notifications, Open Long Chats Fast, and Start a Trial Without a Card

This week in Nori Sessions 0.102.0: you can get a push notification on your phone or desktop when an agent finishes a turn, and long conversations open in under a second. New workspaces can start a 30-day trial without a card, and invited teammates can sign up with an email and password.

You can also use GPT-6.1 Sol as the Codex default, see and fix GitHub App problems from the Integrations page, request admin access from Discord, and install OpenCode skillsets that include subagents.

Get notified when an agent finishes, and open long chats fast

  • Get a push notification when a turn finishes. Turn on Push notifications in the web chat settings. If you have not read the conversation 10 seconds after the agent finishes, you get a notification that opens the chat. Turns that end in an error also notify you. On iPhone, add the chat to your Home Screen first.
  • Open a long conversation in under a second. Finished turns are now stored together, so opening or reconnecting to a very long conversation went from 15.5 seconds to 0.74 seconds, and Load earlier went from 5.7 seconds to about 0.2 seconds.
  • Read skills, skillsets, and subagents from inside the chat. When an agent replies with a link to one on its own line, the link opens into a card with the rendered file, the changes from the previous version, and what it depends on. Links to chats, automations, and integrations also show as cards. Links inside a sentence get a toggle that opens the card under them, and the Link cards switch in chat settings sets whether those start open.
  • Keep a separate draft in each conversation. Text you type but do not send stays with its own conversation.
  • Scroll up while an answer streams. The chat keeps your place until you return to the bottom or tap Jump to latest.

Start a trial without a card and invite your team

  • Start a 30-day trial without entering a card. Start 30-day trial creates your workspace in one step. If the trial ends with no card on file, every member sees a banner, admins get an Add payment method button, and machines come back right after a card is added with that button.
  • Let invited teammates sign up with an email and password. An invite link opens a Create account form, and the teammate joins after verifying their email. For invites limited to a company domain, the form shows the required domain and rejects other addresses, and an unverified account can no longer join.

Use GPT-6.1 Sol and keep the default model you see

  • Run Codex sessions on GPT-6.1 Sol. It is the new default Codex model, and GPT-6 Sol is still available in the model picker. Codex was upgraded to 0.159.3 for it.
  • Keep the default model your organization sees. Once Claude, Codex, or Cursor is connected, the default model shown in the picker is saved as your organization’s choice, so a future change to Nori’s catalog default does not change it.
  • Start a new chat with a model that matches its agent. After your organization’s default provider changes, a new chat no longer starts with a model from another provider. A model that does not belong to the selected agent is rejected with a clear message before a machine is used.

See and fix GitHub App problems from the Integrations page

  • See when the GitHub App was uninstalled or suspended. Opening Integrations checks the app right away. An uninstalled app shows a Reinstall GitHub App button, and a suspended app shows that a GitHub organization owner must unsuspend it. The page also explains that Update repository access only works for GitHub organization owners.
  • Remove the GitHub App as an organization admin. Admins and owners can use Remove GitHub App on the Integrations page and the onboarding checklist. This disconnects it from Nori and leaves the app installed on GitHub.
  • Use GitHub from sessions with any number of repositories. Sessions now get GitHub credentials when the installation has no repositories yet or more than 500.

Request admin access from Discord and post charts in Slack

  • Run !admin in a Discord thread. It works the same as in Slack: an admin gets a single-use approval link that expires after 30 minutes, and the thread gets a confirmation when access is granted.
  • Ask an agent to post a chart in Slack. Agents can post native Slack line and bar charts from data, and confirm the title, axes, and labels with you first.
  • Start new organizations with Slack access set to Guarded. Guarded lets organization admins use the agent, plus workspace members when the email list is empty. Existing organizations that never chose a mode keep Open.
  • End a Slack thread with !done and have it stay ended. A plain reply after !done no longer restarts the conversation. An @mention still reopens it. In Slack and Discord, !done and !release also work on a thread whose machine was already retired.

Fixes

  • Count on scheduled automations to run every time. Since about September 26, a scheduled automation could fail from its second run onward without posting an error. Each run now gets its own session.
  • Read what went wrong when a resume fails. Resume errors now say what happened and what to do, with Resume without files, Try again, or New session buttons in web chat. Slack and Discord resume without files automatically when the checkpoint cannot be restored. Resuming a repository with a shallow clone now fetches the commits it needs.
  • Start pi, OpenRouter, and Cline sessions on a fresh machine. Install output no longer breaks the connection to the agent at startup.
  • Keep using Slack from an agent after a Nori update. Agent access to Slack is now saved, so it keeps working after the server restarts.
  • Use Release session on a phone. Release, Delete, and model switches that ask for confirmation now work on touch devices.
  • Connect Datadog from the Integrations page. Choosing a Datadog site now opens the sign-in steps.

Install skillsets with subagents for OpenCode

  • Use a skillset’s subagents in OpenCode. In nori-skillsets 0.33.1, subagents are written in OpenCode’s own format. A subagent’s tool list becomes OpenCode permissions, and a model is kept only when it is written as provider/model. Before this, OpenCode 1.15.0 rejected the files and every session in that workspace failed with “No models available”.
